Battle of the Books is designed to develop a love of reading by:
- Immersing students in thought provoking books,
- Surrounding them with support,
- And providing lots of fun, food and prizes along the way!
Participants will receive four free books at the beginning of June and are then invited to read and discuss the books through the summer. Additionally, they will meet ALL FOUR of the authors along the way, and there will always be food, fun, and prizes!
In August, readers will join together, get into teams, eat pizza and prepare to battle!
BATTLES will take place on Tuesday, September 12, where they will wear their battle t-shirts and participate in team-based, game show-style competitions about Battle Book questions. While there will be grand prizes for the winning team, all participants will walk away with swag bags and new books for fall school reading.
